Privacy Policy
Last updated: September 2026
This notice explains what personal data we collect through lovingsalento.com, why we process it, and what rights you have, under Regulation (EU) 2016/679 ("GDPR").
Data controller
The data controller is Loving Salento. For any question about this notice or your data, you can write to us at greco.mariella@yahoo.it.
What data we collect
We only collect the data you voluntarily provide by filling in the request or contact form: name, phone/WhatsApp number, email address and, when given, your stay dates, number of guests, requested extras and any message.
This site does not use profiling or advertising-tracking cookies. For details on the technical cookies we do use, see our Cookie Policy.
Why we process your data
We use the data we collect only to: respond to your information or booking request, organise and manage a booked stay, and communicate with you about it (confirmations, reminders, changes).
The legal basis for this processing is the performance of pre-contractual measures taken at your request (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR) or, when no booking follows, your consent to being contacted again (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR).
How long we keep your data
We keep your data for as long as needed to respond to your request; if you book, for the duration of the stay and afterwards for the period required by Italian tax and civil law. If you don't book, we delete your data within a reasonable time of our last contact, unless you ask us to keep it for future enquiries.
Who we share data with
We do not sell or share your data with third parties for marketing purposes. If you write to us on WhatsApp, that conversation is also subject to WhatsApp/Meta's own privacy notice. Our email provider and any technical website providers (hosting) may process data as data processors, only to the extent needed to provide the service.
Your rights
As a data subject, you can ask at any time for: access to your data, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, data portability, and objection to processing (Arts. 15-22 GDPR). You can exercise these rights by writing to greco.mariella@yahoo.it.
You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Italian Data Protection Authority (Garante per la protezione dei dati personali, www.garanteprivacy.it) if you believe this processing breaches the applicable rules.
Changes to this notice
We may update this notice over time — for example, if the tools we use to handle requests change. The last-updated date is shown at the top of the page.
